The Social Scene

This is Friday, 16 January and it is a busy day at the job site as we prepare for the upcoming weekend. Concrete work must be staged to complete at a point where it can be left over the weekend. As you can see, our retaining wall is out of the ground and blocked almost to the top. There is more foundation work to complete before the lower floor slab can be poured.

Tonight, our buys social calendar gets another entry! It is Thomas’ 70th birthday and there is a full-blown expat party for him. We arrived at their beautiful home to find cars plugging the roadway throughout the neighbourhood and a steady stream of people making their way to the house. As we arrive, in the distance, we can hear singing from a group of entertainers, hired for the evening. They are a very professional Mexican trio, dressed in authentic costumes and generating beautiful sounds that carry throughout the area. Attendance looked to be somewhere around 60 people, all enjoying the beautiful evening and gentle breezes of Cerro Azul while visiting and catching up with friends and acquaintances. By now, many of the expats that do not live here full time, have returned and this is a perfect event to kick off the season. Have a look at the pictures and see what you think.
